Dheeran Promise

Dheeran Oil and Agro Products was established in 2019, but our roots go much deeper. I, Selvakumar Ramasamy, was born into an agricultural family. My childhood was spent playing in the fields and working alongside my father and grandfather — growing vegetables, raising livestock, and cultivating seeds like groundnut, sesame, bajra, horse gram, turmeric, and sugarcane.

Although life initially led me to a career as a professor, the COVID-19 pandemic brought me back to the soil. During the lockdown, I had time to reflect and realized something important: while our family farm produced high-quality oil seeds, we were still buying processed oil from stores.

At the same time, we were expecting our first child. Like every parent, we wanted only the purest and safest food for our baby. That moment inspired us to move towards organic farming and begin producing our own oils with complete control over purity — from soil to bottle.

We named the company Dheeran, after our son. For us, Dheeran is more than a brand name. It is a promise. Just as parents never compromise on their child's health, we do not compromise on the quality of our products.
